Amnesty International is to

Respect for human rights is built, for example, through concrete actions against Torture
: introducing at last, with a delay of 20 years,
a specific offense in the penal code by ratifying the Optional Protocol to the UN Convention against Torture and not making more individual or collective expulsion to countries that torture.
Respect for human rights should become an integral part of the so-called political
security, taking a stand against rendition
explicit, working with national and international investigations in progress and adapting to international standards on human rights and the so-called Package Pisanu Decree on Community nationals in parts governing the expulsions.
Respect for human rights requires urgent steps in
asylum and immigration , through the adoption of a comprehensive law that puts a complete system and the rules adopted so far to the right of asylum, the introduction of rules on ' Consider the

Respect for human rights should be specifically taken into account whenever Italy
authorizing arms exports : Do not allow, especially when it comes to small arms and light weapons, to countries where they could be used to violate the
human rights and humanitarian law, nor to countries where there are child soldiers , also supporting the approval of the international Arms Trade Treaty.
Amnesty International will carefully monitor the work of the Legislature XVI, encourage and monitor the Government and Parliament to build an effective and urgent compliance human rights.
